So by now, everyone knows that Army Wives always seems to relate to me and it makes me think. So far (and we're only 24 minutes into the episode), it doesn't relate to me. haha, it's about freaking time. lol It has made me think though. Please don't take anything I say as me being against the military or anything like that. That'd be 100% false.
Have you ever thought how the child who has a parent(s) in the military has been affected? They have to deal with a parent being gone for months at a time. When they are older they start worry about their parent not coming home. It's everywhere now. News of someone else dying overseas. There isn't a way to keep it from childrens eyes. Some of these kids mature faster than they need to. It's not the parents fault but the fact that they feel like they need to fill the spot of their parent for other siblings and/or other parents. Honestly, what can one do about it? What do you do about the fact that you're essentially a single parent for X months?
Haha, I don't even know why I'm thinking of this. There is plenty of other stuff I could talk about that's actually about me. I mean hell I'm not married to a military man, I have no kids. I guess it's just one of those things though. I guess it's not much different than talking about how it affects the person's spouse. They have to deal with being alone for that amount of time. The difference there is that they most likely had an idea as to what they were getting when they said 'I do.' A kid doesn't get to choose their family.
An adult can take care of themselves. You can keep yourself busy when you know it's a bad day. As an adult you're more aware of what needs to be done. Plus, you can count a lot higher and count down the days until your love one is home and safe.
To all military families out there, stay strong. I admire you for what you have to go through daily.

Tomorrow is Another Day
I believe I promised a longer entry tonight. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to write about yet but I figure I'll just let it flow and we'll see where it goes. :)
I'm not really feeling better today. I still have no fever but I keep having problems breathing. I feel like I can't get enough air in. It sucks big time. I thought I was having an asthma attack at first. I haven't had asthma since I was 11 though. Now I kind of think that maybe it's just that I'm still sick even though I don't want to admit it. Perhaps it's moved down, to my chest. Oh joy. :) Ok, I'm done bitching about being sick.
I have no drive today. I'm sure it is because of the above (I didn't say the word). I so need to put away some clothes and straighten my room. It hasn't happened. It won't happen tonight now that Army Wives is on. Speaking of Army Wives, so far this seems like an episode that I can't relate to. FINALLY.
I'm not doing a good job at not emailing Jeff. I wanted to wait a few days before I emailed him. Haha, that was a joke. Today was email number 2. The first one shouldn't count because I was under the influence of Mucinex. It made me VERY emotional. I missed him VERY much. It's pretty much normal now. I mean it's as normal as it can be for the situation. A situation which has just added even more confusion onto it.
Anyway, I know no one truly wants to read all of this crap so I will spice up my blog a bit more from now on. I'm off to find a joke or something.

Army Wives *spoilers*
Army Wives is, without a doubt, my favorite tv show. Every Sunday night at 9, my tv is tuned to Lifetime. It always makes me think and 90% of the time it makes me cry. Tonight's episode really made me think. I thought about so much actually.
First, is that Jeremy needs to stop being a mommas boy. It is time that he starts making his own decisions. For peats sake, it was time for him to reenlist so he's at least 21. He doesn't need his mom's permission to re up. I realize that he still needs her approval and doesn't want to disappoint her. Jeremy is in the Army, it's time that he steps up and acts like a man. Haha, ok so in my head this sounded a lot differently.
Next, is that I don't know how any woman could go through what Roxy did tonight. She is a strong woman but for any woman to have a miscarriage must be unbareable. I tried to think (and it was a little hard since I don't think of being pregnant period) of what it must be like and what I would do. Honestly, I think I would feel like a failure. I would be incredibly sad and don't think I'd want to do much of anything. For anyone who has been through that before, you are stronger than I. And I am sorry you had to go through it.
Now onto Chase and Pamela. I know that he is going to screw up. He's Chase, it seems to be what he does. We can't lose Pamela though. Her character is so important and brings the drama. lol. At the same time though, I don't think that she should have asked him to quit Delta. I'm sure that she probably knew that he was a going to be a career man and although she may not have known he would be in Delta, she did have to realize the time they would be apart. He isn't gone for a year at a time, just days or weeks. She may not know when that will be but I still don't agree with her. I do think that he needs to step up and be there for his family when he is home. He needs to be there for her. She needs to know that he loves her and misses her when he's gone. He needs to be the man he used to be, the one she fell in love with. There are things that shouldn't change and his behavior towards her is one. He shouldn't ignore her. Then he can't come home and promise her everything is fine and will be fine. He can't expect her to believe him after he broke her heart. (So I think that I'm putting a few emotions from my own experiences in here... maybe I shouldn't have written this one.)
If you take the time to think about it, you can associate every couple on army wives with a real one you know. Or at least almost all of them. It's been a night for me, but hey what's new? I have a bunch of these now a days. Lonely days is how I'm referring to them from now on. I think it's time to stop writing before I say something I'll regret. Maybe some ice-cream will make it better.
